How much advance notice is required for accommodation and transportation bookings?
For monthly apartment bookings a minimum of 3 days notice is advisable, but ideally a few weeks or more is better to make sure that your requested room is available. The earlier notice you give us, the better -- so we can confirm all your requirements well in advance. For transportation bookings, again the more advance the notice is, the better; but rest assured that we will do our best to accommodate any last minute bookings, as the case may be.
What is included with the monthly apartments?
The monthly apartment fee includes association dues, free local telephone calls, and cable TV. Extra costs include electricity and water consumption. High-speed internet access is also available in most of the apartments; optional housekeeping service is available upon request.
Will the driver wait for the airport pick-up if my flight is delayed?
Yes! We monitor all incoming flights so our driver will always be aware of any delays in arrivals; they will be there waiting for you at the arrival area. If there is any delay we are not aware of, the driver will still wait until your arrival. He will have a placard with your name printed big on it so you can identify him easily.
What is included in the full day car hire?
We will provide you with a car and driver so you can visit any place you want to go within the metro Manila area for up to 6 to 12 hours, petrol costs included. This is ideal if you have various meetings, for shopping, or if you just want to visit different areas of the city. The cost for this is equivalent to hiring your own car, but with an honest driver with local knowledge and experience with Manila traffic.
Where else can Manila Stay take me too in the Philippines?
We do regular trips to Tagaytay, Batangas, Subic, Baguio, Angeles, and Clark airport. But we can also arrange transport to other areas in Luzon. Just let us know your requirements and we will organize everything for you. We also offer many set-tour packages to great out-of-town locations!
What do I expect to see on the city tour and nightlife tours?
There are a lot of interesting, exciting and historical things to see and do in Manila. We have various itineraries available to view on this website; but if there is something you would specifically like to see, we can tailor the tour around your requirements. Just let us know what your interests are?
How much time do I need to allow for my visa extension?
It is a good idea to allow at least one week before the expiration of your current visa. We do offer an express processing but this includes an additional charge. What is unique about our service is that we will collect your passport and drop it back to you once processing is complete.
I am interested in one of the special packages, how do I get my free sim card and call credit?
The package deals are designed to save you money, and to get all your travel arrangements sorted out in advance so you can get the most out of your stay in Manila. Our driver will provide you with a free Philippine SIM card and call credit upon arrival. If your phone is not compatible in the Philippines we will lend you a phone. We do require advance notice and a 2,000 peso security deposit for this service.
How does the online payment work?
We use Pay Pal to accept secure online payments. After submitting an order we will send an invoice from Pay Pal to request the reservation deposit or full balance of the order depending on your preference. We will include a currency conversion from the Peso rate to USD so customers have a better idea of how much the payment works out to be. Also we have links to XE currency conversion site on most pages as a quick reference.
