Day 1: Travel and easy city highlights

Pickup and depart Manila

Leave Manila early for the long climb to the Cordillera highlands. Baguio is known for pine-covered slopes, cooler air, foggy hills, flowers, and panoramic mountain views, but expressway and city traffic still need generous allowance.

Arrival and lunch

Arrive around lunchtime, depending on traffic, and eat before beginning the first city cluster. The arrival time determines how much sightseeing should be attempted on Day 1.

Leave luggage or check in at the confirmed Baguio hotel. Hotel location matters because steep roads and busy weekend traffic can make repeated cross-city journeys slow.

Burnham Park

Start gently at Burnham Park, Baguio’s central public park, with its boating lake, gardens, open spaces, and walking paths. It is an easy first stop after the drive and keeps the route close to the city centre.

Baguio Cathedral and Session Road

Visit Baguio Cathedral, recognised by its rose-coloured façade and twin bell towers, then continue toward Session Road for a short walk, coffee, shopping, or an early dinner.

Wright Park or Mines View

Add Wright Park for its long Pool of Pines and view toward The Mansion, or Mines View for the mountain outlook over Benguet. Use only one if arrival traffic has already shortened the day.

Botanical Garden

Begin at Baguio Botanical Garden, where landscaped paths, Cordillera-inspired structures, native plants, and shaded areas make a calm start to the main sightseeing day.

The Mansion and Wright Park

Treat The Mansion and Wright Park as one nearby cluster. The Mansion is viewed from its gate as the official summer residence of the Philippine president, while Wright Park’s Pool of Pines provides the public park setting opposite.

Before lunch

Mines View Park

Continue to Mines View Park for the observation area overlooking Benguet’s mountain landscape and former mining communities. Visibility and crowd levels determine how long the stop is worth.

Lunch

Choose a practical restaurant within the same side of the city. Baguio has many cafés and local food options, but crossing town only for lunch can consume a large part of the day.

Afternoon

Camp John Hay

Spend the afternoon at Camp John Hay, the former American rest-and-recreation area now developed as a wooded leisure estate. Select one activity or a relaxed walk rather than trying to cover every corner of the property, then return to the hotel for the second night.

The Philippine Military Academy can be added only when visitor access, identification rules, and the day’s security arrangements are confirmed. It trains officers for the Philippine armed services and should not be treated as a guaranteed stop.

Day 3: La Trinidad and return

Check out, visit the strawberry-farm area, keep any market or pasalubong stop brief, then have an early lunch and return to Manila.
